There’s no denying that a lot of us are worrying about what kind of economic hit we’ll be facing due to COVID-19. It’s easy to panic, but there are proactive things we can be doing now to set us up for success when we’ve kicked coronavirus to the kerb.
If you’re staying at home, make sure you keep an active presence on social media by posting out regularly across your pages.
For the large proportion of the population that will be working from home or self-isolating, spending so much time cooped up inside will mean they’ll be worried about the state of their windows, disgruntled with their doors and cheesed off with the condensation in their conservatory.
When life returns to normal, people will be itching to get out of the house and sort out the things they hate!
By posting now, you’ll be giving them food for thought while they’re at home and reminding them that you’re still an active business – even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.
Although homeowners may not be able to spend now, you’ll be on their mind for when they can. This way, you’ll be able to make up for any losses you may experience during this time.
I’d also recommend joining Window Fitters Forum on Facebook, if you haven’t already, to keep up to date with how other installers are faring. We’ll be posting on PiGs too, so when there’s info to share, we will.
See if there are other groups you can join on Facebook, either for local businesses or industry related, and look into Twitter hour hashtags. Local communities band together during times like this, so it’s worth giving your company a shoutout on local pages and during local Twitter hours.
