Allestree-based PR & marketing agency, Balls2 Marketing, won big at the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Midlands PRide Awards.
Balls2 Marketing were Derby’s only finalist – and winner – in the Midlands-wide awards, picking up gold for Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy, as well as silver for Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy, while Senior Account Manager, Lauren Doyle, took home silver for Outstanding Young Communicator.
Sarah Ball, Client Strategy Director at Balls2 Marketing, said: “We are completely over the moon to have won at the CIPR awards. It’s a real credit to the team who work hard to achieve great results for our customers.
“We were the only finalist and winner from Derby, and we were up against tough competition from other agencies and in-house teams across the region. It’s fantastic to bring our city a win!
“Our team of 13 now look after 40 clients from across the country, so we think our award wins are a perfect way to show just how far-reaching and effective our creativity and hard work is.
“Lauren being named silver for Outstanding Young Communicator is a true testament to how much we value nurturing our team. Lauren started out with us in 2014 as a PR assistant and worked up the ranks to Senior Account Manager. We saw major potential in Lauren and supported her through 4 years of the CIPR’s CPD scheme and completion of the CIPR Advanced Certificate at Birmingham City University.”
Lauren says: “After 5 years in PR and marketing, it’s so exciting to win this title which is judged by the best communications professionals in the industry. Although it’s an individual award, it really wouldn’t have been possible to achieve it without the support of the amazing Balls2 Marketing team and their commitment to producing incredible campaigns for clients.”
Talking about Balls2 Marketing’s winning entry, the CIPR PRide Award judges said: “The judges were impressed by the dynamic approach of Balls2 Marketing which is clearly a fun agency to work for. They have seen impressive client growth and have been able to take projects that, on the face of it, were challenging to bring alive and deliver success through a combination of great ideas and hard work. The judges were particularly impressed by their clear commitment to CPD, which included career path planning. A worthy winner.”
The CIPR PRide Awards were held at The Birmingham Conference and Events Centre on Friday 27 September.
